I Reminisce... I Reminisce..

Who could forget when Hip Hop was raw? When most tracks and videos were just clips and shots of life in the hood and portrayed how life really was for kats. I think so many people loved the early days of Hip-Hop because so many people related to the reality of the music. For example, remember the Mobb Deep video of Shook Ones?? Prodigy, Havoc and the rest of the mobb, steady chillen in the hood, rockin a bucket, and sippin' on Henny and E&J...can't forget to mention that they're still in the hood. How simple was that?! Ain't no such things as half way crooks... you know the rest. So many videos and people to mention that I just can't remember them all...that weed is a mutha*&^%$# ! Anyone remember the Tribe Called Quest video of, Electric Relaxation? Another classic. If you don't remember then let me refresh your memory. This is the video when these kats are rhyming back and forth talkin' about a breezy, as they go on with their day through NY, on taxis, subways, and strollin'. Ah man.. I could remember taking like 2 or 3 different busses to the homie Austin's crib, just so that we can practice our B-Boy skills and Skate Skills! Dayam we should've kept goin' with that... I guess it's just another lesson to be learned... stick to what you love to do!!! Anyway, back to the subject at hand... Classics can't be classics without the CLAN. Yes, the Wu-Tang Clan! Remember the C.R.E.A.M video? or the Mystery of Chessboxing? Protect YaNeck? Can it be it was all so simple? Ice Cream?M.E.T.H.O.D. MAN? just to many to name... That 36Chambers album was ill!! I'm glad to hear that they are comming out with another album, in hopes that it's as hard as 36 Chambers. In my opinion, the WU paved a lot of the road for the 90's era. I feel like a kid in the toy store just reminiscing... Oh another classic.. Back in the days when I was young... I'm not a kid anymore... but some days I sit and wish I was a kid again.... This track right here.. man.. I could remember myself tagging along with my bigger bro. and the older homies hitting up house parties that would eventually get shot up by gangsters or end with a fight, haha. We laugh now but back then that shit seemed wild!!! All this reminiscing I can't forget about.. T.R.O.Y. you know it when u hear the intro of the track.. just makes you wanna say oooohh!!! I remember this sh*t!!! All this talk about the East Coast...how about the West Coast?? On the West Coast.. I believe in the 90's, everyone was busy duckin' bullets, haha, in Highland Park atleast. Nah, but who can forget Niggas With an Attitude? Thass right folks.. Straight Outta Compton, Express Yourself, 100 miles and runnin', Fuck the Police, just to mention a few. NWA definitely held it down for the west coast! The Pharcyde, Passing me by video was hard, another one of those tracks that make me just wanna sit and ponder of how life was back then.. it was all good as long as we got to go to parties and break. Then we got introduced to the Herb... Thass when it all changed.... Sit back and enjoy the classics...
